From May 7th to 9th, FreeFlight’s Commercial Manager for Europe, South America & Africa will be in Ethiopia to attend this convention.
African Airlines Association, or AFRAA, is an association based in Nairobi, Kenya, and it focuses on championing the African aviation industry and promoting airlines within Africa. Annually, AFRAA hosts an Aviation Stakeholders Convention within Africa. This year, the event will be hosted in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in partnership with Ethiopian Airlines – the flag carrier airline for Ethiopia. The theme of this year’s event is “Changing the African Aviation Narrative,” which will focus on the many strengths and opportunities the African Aviation industry offers.
The African aviation market has seen many vital events harkening to growth. Events such as South Africa Airways returning, the announcement of the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) “Focus Africa” program, and significant airlines relaunching routes to major African cities such as Johannesburg and Cape Town. With a desire to create “Better Skies for Africa,” AFRAA is working hard to create spaces where discussion can be had to promote safety, security, reliability, cooperation, visibility, and sustainability within the growing African aviation market.
FreeFlight is excited to attend this event, where our global sales team can learn about the current issues African airlines face, the state of growth within the market, and how our products can support the goals of the African aviation market.
