FreeFlight Systems and Precision Heli-Support, LLC complete STC for RA-4500 Radar Altimeter installation in MD Helicopters 369/500N/600N series

May 19, 2016 - WACO, Texas - NextGen avionics leader FreeFlight Systems announced today that Precision Heli-Support, LLC has received STC approval for installation of the FreeFlight Systems RA-4000/4500 radar altimeter and FTG-410 tone generator audio alert safety system in MD 369, 500N, and 600N models.

The RA-4000/4500 is a highly-dependable, proven radar altimeter system that seamlessly integrates with the MD369/500N/600N's existing avionics, and is part of the lightest-weight, lowest-cost solution available. The FTG-410 gives pilots valuable audio alerts at pre- selected altitudes and for other aircraft conditions. This equipment will ensure compliance with the FAA's radar altimeter mandate, which requires aircraft to be equipped with an approved solution by April 24, 2017.

FreeFlight Systems and CMD Flight Solutions complete ADS-B Out AML STC for Part 25

April 26, 2016 - WACO, Texas - NextGen avionics leader FreeFlight Systems announced today that engineering and certification company CMD Flight Solutions has obtained an AML STC for the installation of a FreeFlight 1203C SBAS/GNSS sensor paired with Rockwell Collins' TDR-94/94D transponders. The pairing is a cost effective way to help aircraft owners meet the ADS-B mandate.

The FreeFlight Systems 1203C SBAS/GNSS sensor was designed to be modular and integratable with various other avionics, giving customers flexible, practical ADS-B solutions for their aircraft.

As a certified ADS-B position source, approved for all ICAO jurisdictions, the integrated 15-channel 1203C SBAS/GNSS sensor is part of a fully rule-compliant ADS-B Out system when paired with a compatible, certified Mode S transponder like the TDR-94/94D. The 1023C continues to providing reliable service to fleets worldwide and also serves as an approved position source for CPDLC, TAWS/FMS, RNP and other NextGen applications.

FreeFlight Systems and Trego-Dugan Aviation complete AML STC for 1201 WAAS/GPS and Garmin GTX330ES for ADS-B compliance

April 26, 2016 - WACO, Texas - NextGen avionics leader FreeFlight Systems announced today that Nebraska based Trego-Dugan Aviation has received AML STC approval for installation of a FreeFlight 1201 WAAS/GPS sensor and Garmin GTX330ES Mode S transponder in 460+ aircraft.

FreeFlight's 1201 WAAS/GPS sensor is a high-integrity position source in a compact, lightweight package. The 1201 pairs seamlessly with ADS-B capable transponders like the GTX330ES to provide rule-compliance.

Customers can purchase the STC directly from Trego-Dugan Aviation, or as a complete turn-key solution. Trego-Dugan is offering a one-day turn time for installation.

Finmeccanica selects FreeFlight Systems RA-4500 radar altimeter system for the AW119

April 26, 2016 - WACO, Texas - NextGen avionics leader FreeFlight Systems announced today that global aerospace, defense and transportation company Finmeccanica has selected the FreeFlight RA-4500 radar altimeter as standard equipment for AW119 single-turbine light helicopters.

The RA-4500 offers Finmeccanica's customers a highly-dependable, proven radar altimeter system that seamlessly integrates with the AW119's existing avionics.
