AEA 2012, Washington, DC, April 4, 2012, FreeFlight Systems, a leading NextGen avionics supplier, announced today that its RANGR FDL-978TX ADS-B radio will be installed into a Cessna 172S by Southeast Aerospace to achieve the first Supplemental Type Certificate (STC). The collaboration between Southeast Aerospace and the aircraft owner, Auburn University, is the next step to begin equipage for Class I & II aircraft.

FreeFlight Systems and Chevron Complete First Practical ADS-B

Installation, STC Submission forthcoming for GOMEX Helicopter Operators

AEA 2012, Washington, DC, April 4th, 2012, FreeFlight Systems, a leading NextGen avionics supplier, announced today with Chevron Corporation the completion of an installation of the first rule compliant ADS-B solution for the Gulf of Mexico (GOMEX) helicopter operators. The FreeFlight Systems RANGR FDL-978TX ADS-B Out system was installed in Chevron's AgustaWestland AW139 helicopters will help overcome restrictions on GOMEX flights beyond air traffic control radar coverage. The STC is expected to be issued in Q2 of 2012 and will be available from FreeFlight Systems.

FreeFlight Systems 1203c WAAS/GPS Deployed in First Fokker 100 ADS-B OUT Implementation at Skywest Airlines

AEA 2012, Washington, DC, April 4, 2012, FreeFlight Systems, a leading NextGen avionics supplier, announced today that its 1203c WAAS/GPS sensor was selected as the position, velocity, time and integrity (PVT&I) system for the first Fokker 100 ADS-B OUT implementation completed by Skywest Airlines in Perth, Australia. The ADS-B OUT system for the Fokker 100 was developed and certified by Fokker Services. Skywest plans to install the system in all 9 of its Fokker 100s flying in Australia.

FreeFlight Systems RANGR FDL‐978TX RECEIVES FAA TSO APPROVAL

Waco, Texas, October 13, 2011, —FreeFlight Systems, a global provider of high quality navigation management systems, radar altimeters and other critical avionics, announces the RANGR FDL‐978TX ADS‐B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance‐Broadcast) UAT 978MHz transmitter received TSO‐C154c from the FAA today.

The RANGR FDL‐978TX system will interface to FreeFlight Systems low cost WAASGPS receiver 1201, dual antennas, and a panel mounted control head. The system weighs less than 1lb and is relatively easy to install. It also meets all DO‐160 testing for helicopter applications.
